It is very interesting the fact that you have this technology available for you in your cell phone, maybe not for everybody but especially for teenagers , this is a way to be in touch with their friends all the time. But is this a good idea? Depends on the way that you are looking at it, for kids can be fun but is not something to do all the time. Most of the kids are now able to have a cell phone for their use only and maybe this more of a secure measure for the parents that are away the whole day and want to know where their kids are and what are they doing, but if is used improperly can be bad too. This shouldn’t be used during the school time because it can distract the students from their work, sometimes they are sending text messages, and even both making and receiving phone call in the classroom, plus this now.

There is a way to be online all the time no matter what? Well yes, and it can be in detriment of the learning process. More than that we need to know that this is not a free service, is going to be charged to your phone bill too, so for your kid it can be fun but also it can cost you a lot of money, since they can start chatting and they can lose track and spend hours online, time that you are paying for something that is not necessary. Even when they are trying to make this a family plan in order to lower the costs, is always something extra for your pocket to pay. So before you hand a cell phone to your kids try to explain the reason for this decision and make them aware that is only for communication purposes and for your peace of mind too.
