X70 is the first Pentax camera to offer the single-lens reflex capability on a compact. Improved with the 24x optical zoom that can cover a range of 26-624 mm. The camera can support an image ratio of 16:9, 4:3, 3:2 and 1:1. It also has a 12 megapixel sensor with a live viewing tool through its wide 2.7 inch LCD monitor. The latter enables the photographer to access features such as Image Stabilization, Auto Picture Mode, HD video recording and other different shooting modes.
The camera also offers an aperture range of F2.8 to F.50. It has a minimum shutter of 4 seconds and the maximum is at one of a four thousandth second. It has a built it flash that can cover a range of 9.1 meters. Pentax X70 has aperture and shutter priority. The camera has the maximum resolution of 4000 x 3000. Also incorporated with the camera is a self-timer at two or 10 seconds. The images can be stored in an SD or SDHC and the camera is designed with a 33.6 MB of internal storage. Pentax X70 uses the D-LI92 rechargeable Li-Ion battery at 410 g. These camera offers portability with the capability of an SLR.
