The Pentax Optio P70 has an effective 12.0 megapixels CCD that can capture clear and huge images that can still be enlarged and printed at more than an 11 x 14 inch size and retain image quality. It also offers a 4x internal optical zoom that can be translated as 2.75-100mm in wide angle, good for distant and landscape photos.
P70 is offered in three colors, suited for its ultra-slim aluminum-made body. Despite, the slim size, the camera offers a good 2.7 inch LCD monitor to view photos and menus. For this Pentax-produced camera, the Pixel Track Shake Reduction feature is introduced that delimits the shakes during handheld use and produce the same defined images.
As with most cameras today, it is designed with the Advanced Face Recognition technology that mechanizes to capture up to 32 images in just 0.03 seconds. It is also equipped with the smile capture and blink detection innovations, the former that captures the exact moment the subject smiles and the latter, which alerts the photographer if the subject’s eyes are closed during exposure.
The Optio P70 has a vertical snap mode that mimics the convenience of using a mobile phone-camera in just one click to shoot images. Additionally, the camera has an HD movie capture feature that allows it to record moving subjects at 15 frames per second.
