Like other Pentax-produced cameras, the K200D is produced to have a body-based Shake Reduction feature. It has a 10.2 megapixel CCD sensor that similarly present outstanding image resolutions that has optimum control over noise.
Aside from its Shake Reduction feature that is embedded with the creation of the camera body, the Pentax K200D’s body was developed to shield its inner mechanisms against humidity or moisture. Furthermore, its outer bearing made from fiber-reinforced polycarbonate and stainless steel keeps the photographer to shoot under dire weather conditions.
The K200D introduces the Auto Picture mode that analyzes the best setup for the picture. Together with its 2.7-inch LCD monitor in 230,000 dots that allows a 160 degree field of view of the focus item, it gives more accurate and clear playback of the shots taken.
Similar to other cameras from the Pentax line, K200D is also equipped with the Pentax Real Image Engine or the PRIME that lets the image processing optimize the adjustment of the photos parameters and its properties.
The K200D is also compatible with all lenses produced by Pentax for the last six decades and to the AA lithium battery for power saving.
