The Panasonic DMC-FZ28 is a bridge between most point-and-shoot cameras and digital SLR cameras. It has an 18x optical zoom lens, with a 10 megapixel sensor and lots of manual controls that will surely appeal to photography enthusiasts and advanced photographers.
The camera can focus from 1cm away at macro mode, and its ISO ranges from 100-6400. The Panasonic DMC-FZ28 has a 2.7” LCD screen aside from its electronic viewfinder, and uses a custom LiIon battery. It utilizes SDHC or SD cards for more photo storage.
The Panasonic DMC-FZ28 can also detect up to 15 faces in one photo to adjust the exposure and focus to optimize your subjects’ faces. It also has an autofocus tracking. Shutter speeds are from 1/2000 to 60 seconds. It has nine white balance presets, and a total of 37 scene modes where users can choose the best scene so that the camera can automatically calibrate its settings. And for the advanced users, you can switch to manual, aperture or shutter priority modes for total freedom.
