Canon Rebel XTi is an upgrade of the best seller digital SLR Digital Rebel XT. It comes with a 10.1 megapixel sensor, EOS dust cleaning system, and a 2.5 inch 230,000 pixel LCD with 160 degree viewing angle. Just like the EOS series, Rebel XTi will work with a wide array of lenses and other digital camera accessories.

New innovations are integrated in this digital camera adapting some of the advanced features of the EOS series. The upgraded features of this digital camera include the PictBridge printing enhancements, mode settings of Picture Styles, and high image quality.

Canon Rebel XTi enhancements include better grip, improved interface, buffer depth of 27 Large/Fine JPEGs or 10 RAW frames, can create folders that hold up to 9,999 images, quick color change modes picture style settings, 9-point AF precision system, faster processing of image, improved Print/Share functions, editing functions with the options of index print, and customizable auto-rotation.

The thumb grip on Rebel XTi has improved. There is a narrowing curve that supports the heel of the thumb as well as a pad for the thumb to grip that is made of rubber rather than the traditional single bulge in the top right corner.

There is an IR emitter and sensor above the LCD screen and below the viewfinder that detects the presence of your eye. It sends a signal to the camera that the screen no longer needs to be turned on, and also prevents glare interference with the light coming through the optical viewfinder.

The Canon PowerShot A610 is a good choice for amateurs or even a family with different photography skill levels. Given its fairly low price and breadth of amazing features, it should sell to budding shooters with tight budgets who want to advance their photographic skills to the next level without having to take photography training.

With 5.0 megapixel resolution in a silver-metallic case, a lot more zoom, and a stylish shape, the Powershot A610 is an impressive upgrade of Canon's A95 digital camera. It is equipped with a foldable 2 inches LCD panel which is worth the cost as it rotates out and down to get better shots in public and crowds by holding the camera up above your head while checking on the LCD display. You can also hold the camera at waist level and rotate the LCD up for shy subjects so they won’t know you are already taking the shot while they are trying to strike a pose. The location of the function buttons in this camera was changed and now resides in the center of the four-way thumb buttons.

The A610 Powershot is a little bit bulky of about 4.1 by 2.6 by 1.9 inches compared to other Powershot models past models. A610 comes with a large right-handed grip that contributes a lot to the digicam’s size which have become necessary to house the four AA batteries to extend the battery life.

There are two ways of looking at this six megapixels Canon PowerShot A540: as an underwater PowerShot or as A700 with a 4x zooms lens (35-140mm equivalent). The underwater white balance and Scene mode feature have become welcoming aids below the surface. Canon A540 boosts a resolution of six megapixels and increases the frame rate of the movie to a maximum of 30 frames per second at a resolution of 640x480.

Canon A540 delivers its amazing performance in some other areas including a huge 2.5” sporting rear LCD panel in addition to its real time real-image optical viewfinder. As a welcome feature for more sophisticated camera users, an added option of shutter-priority and aperture-priority exposure modes are included. Other exposure modes available are fully automatic and fully manual, plus a wide selection of scene modes and a "My Colors" menu that lets you apply special effects to the image such as Neutral, Vivid, Dark or Light skin or your own customized color adjustment.

Canon divides the mode dial into three sections or "zones" of the Powershot A540. The Green Auto setting is for those instances where you just want modify the setting and forget it. Canon A540 calls its Scene mode section the "Image Zone" and the third zone is the "Creative," which comprises Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Programmed Auto, and full Manual control. The impressive Creative Zone will likely compensate the cost of this digital camera. It also uses the NiMH AA rechargeable batteries which are now available with as much as 2700 mAh.

<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"><tr><td><img src="" /><td></tr><tr><td><td></tr></table>

The 5.0-megapixel Canon Powershot A530 features a manual control optical zooming lens which adapts the 4x lens (equivalent to 35-140mm) used across the Powershot series. Powershot A530 features a 1.8 inches LCD display monitor. It does, however, have exceptional exposure selections for Shutter and Aperture Priority options.

Light sensitivity of ISO ranges from 80 up to 800 while the exposure options include full manual and full automatic, including a variety scenery ranges. The impressive "My Colors" provides different effects to enhance the image such as light, customized Neutral or Vivid colors. The underwater scene feature even adjusts exposure and color balance for an optional underwater casing.

The digital camera A530 also includes center-weighted, evaluative, and even spot metering ranges. In a continuous shot of 2.1 frames/second, it is measured at a rate which is already an excellent speed for the fairly priced digital camera.

Following the upturn and increasing demand for mass data storage, A530 stores its mages in an external SD memory card, which is fast becoming the highly wanted storage media format for digital cameras. The USB 2 high-speed data connection provides for faster data transfer and image or picture downloads either to a personal computer or to media storage, where users will no longer need a memory card reader to transfer all the images and videos taken.

All A-Series digital cameras of Canon use AA batteries, the most recommended of all AA batteries are the NiMH rechargeables that can lasts up to the end of any occasion.

One of the obvious improvements similar to the A80 model is the 4x zoom of A520's. Another feature of this PowerShot is the timer which can be adjusted that allows you to set a delay in the shutter from up to 10 sec., and you can get to program the shots to be taken within or up to 10 shots. Powershot A520 also features a CCD in 4 megapixel quality resolutions of as high as 2,272 x 1,704 pixels, and can be enlarged or printed to 11x14 inches complete with great details.

One of the key features includes the exposure control in full control or manual partial mode, an Ai AF nine points system, and external media SD/MMC card storage. The A520's two-toned, all-plastic body which comes in silver is compact and light; it is bigger than the average size pockets. Still, A520 could easily slip into coat pockets, totes, and purses. A wrist strap is also available for a more secured shooting experience.

Canon A520 features a cover similar to a shutter lens and to many Canon SLR cameras, and a retractable lens to keep the camera upfront when the digital camera is turned off.

The A520 is devised with a lens from 5.8 to 23.2mm and offers an optical range zoom of 35mm and up to 140mm lens. Aperture f/2.6 and f/8 ranges are dependent on the zoom configuration settings that are automatically or may be manually adjusted.

The digital A520 also uses Canon's Ai auto focus system uses the focus of the 9-point center area frame.

The Canon PowerShot A410 has 3.2 megapixels resolution which has a lower resolution in these fast moving times. The Powershot A410 camera ranks in the lower echelon of Canon’s digital camera series. Among the improvements from the A400 model found here is the 3.2x optical zoom and the DIGIC II processor integration.

The size of this PowerShot model is far from compact and emphasizes more on its attractive price to quality ratio. The selling drive behind this digital camera is the DIGIC II processor which integrates all processing of images and algorithms onto a single semiconductor chip to deliver faster write times, optimal image definition, minor shutter lags, and consistently natural reproduction of color. There is also a significant improvement in the camera start up and response times for easier image reviews.

Canon A410 has 14 shooting selections that include eight pre-set Special Scene modes to achieve quality results in poor lighting conditions. These shooting modes include Kids and Pets, Portrait, Foliage, Night Snapshot, Beach, Indoor, Snow and Fireworks. A grid display is also available especially for novice and amateur photographers to assist them with composition and is a big help with keeping the horizons level and in framing shots.

The addition of the My Colors feature allows the camera operator to use the enhanced digital effects, such as the Color Swap, while taking pictures. This enhancement feature was previously possible after downloading the images to a PC by the use of photo enhancement software.

<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"><tr><td><img src="" /><td></tr><tr><td><td></tr></table>

The 30D EOS model from Canon EOS is a single lens digital camera with 8.2 megapixels resolution. Improvements made in the EOS 30D include a wider 2.5 inches LCD screen (64 millimeter) with enhanced shutter actuations of 100,000, it has additional stop increments for the speed of the sensor and spot meter, and improved frame capacity.

The sensor CMOS is similar to the other Canon digital cameras; all the lenses have a 1.6 angle view. It also provides a buffer of 30 frames in JPEG format and 11 RAW frames which is slightly faster at 0.15 second on startup. The frame rate has a maximum of 5 frames per second and a minimum of three 3 frames per second which is an added option.

The 30D digital model camera uses the same auto focus as the 20D camera which is nine. It can capture both the RAW and JPEG files and record them. Canon 30D's can hold up to 9,999 images in one folder.

The Canon 30D EOS also features wireless data transfer from a remote server either using a WiFi connection or an Ethernet connection to backup images and files faster and easier.

The expandable capability of Canon 30D includes a wide array of studio applications to sports set ups that transfers images in real-time which is very crucial for photographers. This digital 30D SLR model also features a Mode Dial on the top that selects which shooting mode to use. The modes are divided into Creative Zone and the Basic Zone.

The digital 8.2 megapixel single lens semi-professional reflex camera, EOS 20D digital camera from Canon, is an upgrade of the EOS Canon 10D. It uses a sensor with a C sized APS image that accepts lenses such as EF-S and EF.

Canon 20D features more megapixels around 8.2 instead of the 6.3 megapixels which retains its cropping feature to 1.6. It supports a USB version 2.0 connection. The buffer of EOS 20D is made larger so it can shoot more scenery in several frames/second. Also, it has the flash metering system features such as the DIGIC 2 processor.

The Canon digital 20D model also comes with firmware updates so you can be sure you have the latest software that has a wireless transmitter to remotely transfer images from the file server, it can be either through a wireless Internet connection (Wi-Fi) or through an Ethernet connection.

The shutter is a vertical travel, focal-plane shutter with all speeds that are electronically controlled. The battery is a Lithium-Ion BP-511A rechargeable battery pack with an internal memory CR2016 battery that supports the frame counter and the clock.

EOS 20D is 144 x 105.5 x 71.5 mm and the body weighs 685 grams. The LCD monitor in the back of the digital camera is 1.8 inches or 46 millimeters with 118,000 pixels.

The View Finder features an Auto Focus points with focus confirmation light, shutter speed, manual exposure, Aperture, AE lock, AEB level, amount of exposure compensation, partial metering area, high-speed sync, red-eye reduction option, FE lock, flash ready, and flash compensation amount.

Canon’s 12.8 megapixel digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) EOS 5D digital cameras is recognized for being the first DSLR digital camera in full-frame with a standard body size. The EOS 5D digital is also notable for its market price which is introduced at a significant low price as compared to the other Canon releases.

The 5D digital has 13.3 megapixels (12.7 effective megapixel) 35 by 23 mm with a fully framed CMOS. The 1.5 megapixels low pixel density per square centimeters provided a significant noise reduction at all ISO sensitivities, in combination with the new designed image processor in DIGIC 2.

Canon’s 5D has nine auto focus points with 6 AF points invisible assists arranged in a horizontal diamond pattern which is available only during a continuous tracking for focus. The Auto Focus system was a minor upgrade adapted to the 20D and is not a standard of the 1D series. This DSLR camera uses a SPC metering zone 35 that comes in four variations. These are the partial, spot, evaluative, and center-weighted and a compensation exposure in 1/3 steps of EV.

The shutter of canon 5D was rated to 100,000 shots, and speeds up to 1/8000 second including a flash sync speed of 1/200 second.

Compared to the 20D design, 5D has a much larger and brighter viewfinder in penta prism with approximately 96% coverage. This feature, borrowed from the 1D series, shuns the pop-up flash of the consumer series. The colored liquid crystal display is a captivating 230,000 resolution in pixel and 2.5 inches wide.
