Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II

The Canon EOS-1D Mark II Digital is the successor of the Canon EOS-1D. Featuring a full-frame of CMOS sensor 36 x 24mm in 16.7 Megapixel. The sensor is a CMOS 28.7 x 19.1 mm with 8.2 million effective pixels. Continuous shooting is up to a maximum of approximately 8.3 frames per second. The digital EOS-1Ds Mark II produces quality images with excellent color range and dynamic rendition. The resolution is enough to produce files convertible to 50MB TIFF in decompressed format at 24 bit color depth.

The EOS Mark II digital camera is powered by the second generation image processor DIGIC II of Canon and is capable of continuous firing at four frames per second for bursts of up to 32 frames in JPEG format while 11 in RAW. An optional accessory is the wireless adaptor that delivers high speed wireless IEEE 802.11 b/g LAN and wired LAN support of up to 100 Megabit per second.

According to Mogens Jensen, head of Canon Consumer Imaging in Europe, the Canon 1Ds Mark II is a terrific achievement because it symbolizes the height of digital camera technology of Canon. EOS-1Ds Mark II has so far been the favorite choice for studio and location work because it offers the first and finest digital alternative to any medium format.

Other key features of this camera include expandable to L:50 and H:3200 ISO 100-1600, RAW processing digital professional photo with software support for sRGB, Adobe RGB, and high performance dual SD and CF/CF-II card slots that supports memory cards greater than 2GB.
